The RCMP, with support from the Calgary Police Service, arrested a 16-year-old Calgary youth for terrorism-related offences. The youth was subsequently released on recognizance with a number of conditions pending the outcome of a terrorism peace bond.

The Youth Criminal Justice Act prevents any further release of information. The investigation is ongoing and before the courts. The RCMP says it is committed to working with both domestic and foreign agencies to keep Canadians safe.
