A grassfire broke out northwest of Airdrie, prompting the evacuation of several homes. However, firefighters managed to bring the fire under control, and no significant losses were reported. The initial cause of the fire was believed to be a downed power line, and strong winds contributed to its spread over an estimated 350 acres. Power outages were expected to persist until Tuesday evening. Rocky View County declared a fire advisory due to moderate fire risk in the area, resulting in the suspension of most burning and firework permits.
