Rakhi Pancholi, a two-term MLA and lawyer, announced she will run for the leadership of the Alberta NDP with aspirations to become the next Premier of Alberta. Raised in south Edmonton, she holds degrees in political science and law from the University of Alberta and the University of Toronto, respectively, and has volunteered for various causes, including community legal centers and women's advocacy organizations.
